About Hillel Steinberg

Hillel Steinberg took his first analog picture in the early 80s using an old 35mm Nikon film camera in the Rocky Mountains. During the early nineties, he was swept into the world of 3D graphics on a variety of expensive SGI platforms. Hillel explored a variety of immersive technologies including OpenGL, the Performer and OSG APIs, 3D audio, crystal shutter glasses, tactile gloves, 6DOF Spaceballs, synchronized screens, and custom-built HMDs. Eventually, Hillel's interest in Virtual Reality technologies spilled over into the world of Photography and Video. Digital point-n-shoot and DSLR hardware began to appear in the consumer market in the late nineties. Today, he owns several DSLR cameras s as well as a variety of consumer digital cameras. He has built his own custom 3D Anaglyph still and video rigs as well as a lightbox. His new project is building a motorize Panorama collection system.
