This is a 24 hour time lapse video of the great blizzard of 2010 colapsed to one minute. It's important to pay attention to the small details. For example, the freezing street, the tree limbs begin to sag, the sump pump discharges, and of course, the power outage in the middle of the night. This video was created from over 1600 stills shot with a Nikon D300 and a wide angle lens mounted on a tripod shot with auto-focus and preview off. The battery, memory, and shutter speed had to be changed multiple times throughout the storm. In the end, the video was resized considerably because the source images were 12 megapixels! |
